“Our stay at the cottage was excellent, exactly as advertised! Coming into the home, you’re immediately greeted with a beautiful and well kept living space, complete with everything you’d want and need for any sort of getaway. Incredibly clean, and instantly and continually welcoming. Despite the cold weather on our stay, it didn’t take away from the magnificent view, and being able to watch the lake from almost anywhere in the cottage was a really special experience. Finally, our hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful during our stay. They reached out with local recommendations, some very interesting facts about the house we were staying at, and are incredibly open to helping out in any way necessary, something I really appreciated! We wholeheartedly plan to return next summer, when the weather is better, and we’re able to take full advantage of the beach right on property!”

“Great location. Cottage was nicely decorated with all the comforts of home. Several firepits to choose from and well stocked with wood. Dan communicated all the necessary information and responded quickly. Pet friendly lodging was a plus.”

“The hosts have a very high understanding of hospitality, at a level that I have not experienced at any other place. When the weather unexpectedly turned bad, they had thought of a backup plan and upgraded me to a high-end place. It even had (during Thanksgiving season) a Christmas Tree in it. So much thought and care has gone into these cottages, with meticulous attention to details, and some genius in choosing the right things - ways beyond average (it reminded me of what Horst Schulze wrote in his book "Excellence Wins"). And of course it helps that the place has an outstanding view of the lake. There is a concept behind the name which I will not reveal here, you'll have to experience that for yourselves.”

“This spot was just what my husband and I were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. The views are beautiful and the property was very peaceful. Although we didn’t get to use it we loved the fire pits down by the water. The inside was very clean and well maintained and the attention to detail was amazing. I loved the lemon scented body wash. We hope to be able to stay here for another trip one day! :)”

“The Lemon Drop was clean and nicely decorated. Dan, the host, was very accommodating. It’s a cute place for 2 people. Unfortunately, we had 3 adults, one 8 year old child, and an infant. It was way too small for our group. But, we made it work. We made lemonade out of lemons.🍋”

“The boat house/apartment was fantastic! Beautiful kitchen, bed & bathrooms. We had a wonderful view of the lake & Dan was always there if we needed anything. The place was spotless & decorated very cute in a beach theme. Comfortable chairs & fire pits and wood were provided down at the lake edge. Couldn’t have been more perfect!”

“Very nice place, right on the lake shore with great views, both sunrise and sunset. Lots of birds in the area. The town of Madison is nothing to speak of, but there are nice wineries in the area and nice lakeside parks to walk at. The hosts have put together a nice book of suggestions.”

Dan was extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests having a great experience.
